British Racing Team RAM, who is no stranger to high level motor sport competitions including Formula 1, will be joining the European Le Mans Series starting in 2013. The team's weapon of choice will be the Ferrari 458 Italia GTE of which they've already purchased two. Their first appearance in the international motorsport scene will be at the 24 Hours of Dubai in which they will be entering the two cars before the ELMS championship kicks in next April.
The Ferrari 458 Italia GTE is powered by a 4.5-Liter V8 producing 465 Hp and 520 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential transmission and it has a dry weight of 1245 Kg. The GT3 variant is more powerful with 580 Hp and a dry weight of 1180 Kg.
